Ho! This is one camp which took us so long to decide whether we want to go or not. We decided to reject Mr Koh's offer to let us enjoy ourselves at st john's island. Of course, if it weren't for the pushing factor, we would have went there to sleep the double deck beds and breath in some refreshing sji air. Lol, i was very confused and concern of what the other sls in hillgrove might think of us due to the 2 day before meeting with them. It was just brain cracking struggling whether we should go or not. We thought for 3 days, from long john's to popular, popular then back home, from home to gekpoh, and so on.. this question kept running through our mind, "so, where should we go?" In the end, at about 11 on friday night, we decided.. "let's go to our own camp".
So the normal procedures of a training camp just began on Saturday morning. I was really amazed of what they did, their group flags were ammmmaaazzzziinnng! Totally unlike us one year back, our flags were all white and its really all last minute work. Their flags however, were beautifully coloured and what else can i say, all so pretty! Half the group of the sec4s went to orchard for the enpowering quest and the other half planned the nightwalk. We really entertained ourselves throughout the whole orchard thing. I thought my back will have many red marks thanks to weizhao, then all of us start poking one another. So we planned the road, get the pictures, and went to long john silver for lunch. Do we need to sit in a standard way in fastfood restaurants? Its really so weird. We tried to come up with things for them to accomplish too. We took about 2 hours then we rushed back to school. It was very tough, the route was loooonggg.
However, the other sls in school also did their walks. They went up and down the stairs for i don't know how many times. And when the sec3s were released from their leadership module, we proceed to the station games program. I was the station person at the "let's get wet!" checkpoint. YES, thanks to group 6, PENGUINS, i was really wet. Haha! They were really wet as well! So there's no difference. And the other 7 groups started rotating and going to stations, and for every group that came, they all got wet!!! Yeah, but i really stink and i attracted flies after that. I cannot remember what happened after that.
NIGHTWALK time,
i was scared while going through the rounds with them because i cannot see without my specs and i started to imagine things, ha. I chose to situate myself at the starting point. The entire nightwalk was not really scary enough as commented. But think about it, they have already been in school for at least 2 years, they are familiar with the school for sure. Then there was supper and washups. The sec 4s slept in 4h&i. I know i slept after doing 2 amath questions and giving priscilla a back massage, haha. Fernanaders punctually woke us up at 5am. Brushed our teeth, blah. Ha, guess what's next? Punishments time. We did 50 pumpings and 10 rounds, argh. I agree that i did mistakes, for not being strict and fooling around, but not everyone behaves this way. As the motto goes "one for all, all for one". Everyone will get it together. Zawani and I saw a frog, its quite big somemore. We also so bats flying yesterday night. There's so many weird stuffs. We had breakfast, and then proceed with the orchard quest.
I enjoyed being with CHEEEEEEETAHS, they were fabulous. I believe, if i were to take the other teams, i would say that they are great as well! Actually, all of them were great, that's why we couldn't get to choose which is the best team. Well, at least i hope they've got integrity, and to win, you not only need integrity but also determination. I cannot believe that i actually ran with them, it was a long route from somerset to istana park! I can see that they really care about winning at first, but after that, fun is all they wanted. It was hard to approach people during that point of time because it was still morning. I found it very exciting so i asked a few passerbys about the topic:do you have the songs,smack that,mylove or fergalicious in you mp3 or handphone now? Many of them thought we were asking for donations and they RUDELY rejected. So they change the strategy and went straight into asking the public without going..errr/ahhh/ermmm.. Lol, the place where they spent the longest was paragon. Both yongkuang and i didn't know anything about that place and it was the TOUGHEST task i think. They actually got the stuff right but the picture showed like a lighter brown in colour, so they thought it wasn't the one. Crystal, Yongkuang and I also followed thinking it that it was not the right answer. Wondered how some groups can be so fast at this checkpoint, it was reaaaallllyyyy tough! There are other places and tasks but i guess the tougest thing they had to overcome was to look at the clues and find that they were walking back and forth the same place as the flow of the checkpoints were jumbled up. We even got warned by the security guards several times because while they were doing their stuff, the 3 of us sat just outside the shopping malls. Quest completed, had lunch, took pictures, trick the last team, they did it all. Weirdest of all, they love rolecalls! Actually, i really hate such games, it might just let us result in conflicts. This is the second time i see this thing happening. Last time was 1c&1G, and now, aiyo! They are all great leaders. Ehh, there are many nominees for the different awards. Teachers got their own point of views of the winners.(we've got no right, we've got no say...sounds like the national day thing) And again, weird. Okay la, both parties are peace now, we were punished to show them that we can punish ourselves as well-.- I really don't understand too. Nevermind, i hope that all of them could become a student leader but i guess its again, not up to us to decide(since when it was?).
Great thing was, i made new friends i've never talked to in my life in westwood. GRREEEAAATTT.. As well as, the perspectives we had for certain people at the beginning were changed when we got to know them better. But still, hip hip, hurray X2 (then turns to sheikh & mumble). And oh, after the whole quest, i really resembled a china woman with my messy hair, shirt that seemed like its 5 for $2 or even cheaper, and a big sleeping bag! AHH. Its 10.23 pm now. I'm so tired, i promise to upload photos by tomorrow evening. Eh, who am i making this promise to? Nobody will care, ha!
